Represented the infrastructure company

Our lawyers have represented the city’s infrastructure company before the Supreme Court of Lithuania in a dispute concerning the alleged illegal termination of a contract and a contractual fine.

The dispute arose between partners during the implementation of a construction project relating to the traffic light system in Vilnius city. The other party in the dispute was one of the world’s leading electronic engineering companies. In total the claims amounted to €43 million. The Supreme Court, after taking account of the factual complexity, the extent of the case and the legal arguments raised has decided to hear the case in an oral hearing, a procedure that is a rare occurrence before the Court. The decision of the Court is expected to be finalized after 4 years of litigation.
