Represented a real estate developer in a civil case

Our team has successfully represented a real estate developer in a civil case. The case concerned the validity of a privatization deal and the obligation to provide compensation for the illegal use of premises.

The claimant brought an action against our client, demanding the annulment of contracts under which our client purchased a building of high cultural and historical value located in the Old Town of Vilnius. In the same case, our client made a counter-claim demanding compensation for the loss of income due to the illegal use of the client’s premises and the claimant’s refusal to transfer them to the legitimate owner.

Vilnius County Court closed the case on December 11, 2017 and decided to reject all claims of the claimant. At the same time, the court decided to satisfy our client’s claim and awarded most of the compensation demanded.
